The move-out process

When your lease is ending and you plan to move out, ScoutzOS guides you through the process.

Giving notice

Submit your move-out notice through the portal under "Lease" > "Give Notice." Enter your planned move-out date. Your landlord receives an immediate notification.

Move-out inspection

Your landlord will schedule a move-out inspection. You'll receive the date and time in your portal. Be present if possible to walk through the unit together.

Security deposit

After move-out, your landlord has a state-mandated timeframe to return your security deposit (or provide an itemized deduction statement). Track the status in your portal under "Lease" > "Deposit Status."

Forwarding address

Enter your forwarding address in the portal so your landlord can send your deposit and any mail.
